The group has its root in Singapore where it was first started as a leather footwear distributor and exporter in1978. Its shoes were marketed throughout the region and Europe. Business were later expanded to Johor Bahru in Malaysia in the early 1980's.

Its business were diversified at almost the same time into retail and dealing with some international brands. In retail, it currently operates at all the major departmental stores in Singapore and Malaysia. Beside that, there are also more than 100 independent retail outlets that carry its brands. Licensed brands include Pierre Cardin, Winnie the Pooh and Garfield. Other brands are Jess, Pelucca, Gisa and Tombelli.
